In this tale Irving Wallace writes the "farthest out" in our series of Fiction vs News. The crucial event is a First Black President. In the 1960's when it was written it took the Racism issue head on. In the 45 years passing on, we "sorta" give lip service to racial equality - far from perfect, but it won't get you lynched (much?) either.
President Barack Obama is nearing the end of his term, and while there were a few tries about Birth Certificates, he's been pretty solid as a President. Then again, the Republicans saved their best ammo for the Second Term of President Clinton, but still, this one is going down "easier than fiction" again.
