First Amendment Issues: Free Religion

In its basic statement, the First Amendment Freedom of Religion is supposed to protect practice of less dominant form of religion from discrimination.

However, a major current phenomenon is threats to the Boundary of Church and State. In principle, this concept is supposed to allow Government to perform administrative duties without passion to any particular emotional theory. Unfortunately, organized Right Wing Christianity has long seeped over into the political sphere, with such results as debates over whether to teach Evolution in schools, and Faith Based Initiatives in government.
